Phase 3: Intergroup developmentPeople interact with others in different teams, departments, divisions, and sections; two segments meet and leave with goals and objectives to reach an ideal relationship with one another.
Phase 4: Development of an ideal strategic modelProvides an organization with the knowledge to move from a reactionary approach to one of systematic development; concerned with the overall normal, policies, and structure of the organization.
Phase 5: Implementing the ideal strategic modelThe manner in which the ideal strategic model is implemented determines the success of Grid OD in the organization; planning teams are assigned to identifiable segments in the organization to interpret and implement the model for each segment.
Phase 6: Systematic critiqueThe final phase is a systematic examination of progress toward change goals using a survey that has also been used at each phase throughout the process to measure the degree of change and observe movement toward the goals of the strategic model.
