Answer to Question 2

The three levels of management include executives, managers/directors, and supervisors. Executives focus on strategic issues, which typically are 35+ years. Managers/directors are middle managers who focus on tactical issues with a planning horizon of 13 years. Tactical issues tie strategy to operational issues. Supervisors are the only managers who do not manage other managers. Supervisors focus on operational issues that occur on a day-to-day basis. Their planning horizon is daily to one year.
