Answer to Question 1

When you are seated, you should place your napkin on your lap. If you want to pour yourself a glass of water, first ask anyone else at the table if he or she would like some water. If someone says they would like some water, pour it into his or her glass first. If someone else arrives at your table, you should stand and shake his or her hand. Always offer everyone else at the table bread, butter, etc. Do not take the last piece of bread. When the food is served to you, do not immediately begin to eat. Wait until everyone at your table is served before you begin eating. Do not use your fingers when you eat unless your main course can be eaten without utensils.
