The most subtle behaviors in the negotiation process, and often the most difficult to deal with, are usually the nonverbal messagesthe use of voice intonation, facial and body expressions, eye contact, dress, and the timing of the discussion. Nonverbal behaviors are ingrained aspects of culture used by people in their daily lives; they are not specifically changed for the purposes of negotiation.
