1) Argument: There is nothing to evaluate.
Counterargument: Training is designed with some sort of goal and/or objective in mind; therefore, the objectives of training can be measured.

2) Argument: No one really cares about evaluating training.
Counterargument: Important organizational decisions will be made with or without formal data relating to effectiveness and/or contribution. Without formal evaluations, decisions will be based on impressions of decision makers.

3) Argument: Evaluation is a threat to my job.
Counterargument: Evaluation does not have to be looked at in the context of success or failure, but as feedback into the system in order to modify and improve the training.
