The disadvantages of group decision making are: time consuming because it takes time to assemble a group and longer to reach a decision; minority domination creates the opportunity for one or more members to use their advantages to dominate others in the group; pressures to conform because group members desire to be accepted and considered assets to the group; and ambiguous responsibility because group members are unsure of who is responsible for the final outcome the responsibility of any single member is watered down.
