A

Answer to Question 2

IDEF1X stands for Integrated Definition 1, Extended, and is a variation of the extended E-R model. It became a national standard in 1993, and is based on earlier work done for the U.S. military. Companies doing business with the U.S. government may be required to use it, and most data modeling products have some capability to produce IDEF1X type diagrams.
