Answer to Question 1

Naming conventions help enforce consistency and understandability in database design and development. Without the consistency of naming conventions there can be confusion about the types of objects and their properties. For instance, if several entities have attributes with the same name, it can be very difficult to determine which entity a particular attribute belongs to.
