Answer to Question 1

Denormalization is done to improve performance. Sometimes it is necessary to rejoin tables that were separated to provide users with the timely experience they expect. However, denormalizing a database has its dangers. By denormalizing, a database administrator opens up the database to all the anomalies and errors that the normal forms were designed to prevent. Denormalization should be done carefully, with caution and only after all other performance tuning has been tried.

Answer to Question 2

FALSE
