Answer to Question 2

Object-oriented analysis and design uses an object-oriented approach to building conceptual and logical models of the system. UML is a modeling language for object-oriented system analysis, design, and deployment. UML is not a product, nor is it a process or a methodology. UML is a language for object-oriented modeling. To be exact, UML is a meta-modeling language. What this means is that UML models the models, those object-oriented concepts such as classes, objects, and their interactions that are the actual models of the system in the same way that words and sentences are meta-models that describe our concepts of the world.
