Answer to Question 1

Inheritance is the mechanism by which a subclass incorporates the behavior of a superclass. Whether the object is real or virtual, inheritance is a mechanism, not an idea or an abstraction. In nature, living objects have one or two parents. A child that inherits some characteristics of each parent embodies the concept of multiple inheritance whereas Classical Music that descends from Music, which in turn is a child of Art, shows an example of single inheritance. Man-made objects, including virtual ones, can have many parents. Portable devices such as cell phones and personal digital assistants are the modern rivals to Swiss army knives in the race to implement multiple inheritance.

Answer to Question 2

FALSE
