An activity diagram depicts the flow from activity to activity. It presents a visual, dynamic view of the system and its components. An activity diagram is a very flexible tool and its application is not limited to use cases. Since an activity diagram requires an unambiguous logical flow, it may also help us to identify steps that the use case either missed or took for granted.
