Answer to Question 1

Because servers provide resources to potentially hundreds, if not thousands, of users concurrently, they have to support varied and highly capable drive systems.

Answer to Question 2

A processor is also referred to as a Central Processing Unit (CPU). The CPU is the workhorse of the computer and is critical to the processing of instructions and data. A standard client machine may have one, or perhaps two, CPU slots on its motherboard. However, a server might have 4, 8, 16, 32, or more CPUs. Of course, the more CPUs that are supported and used, the higher the cost of the server.
