Answer to Question 1

Coverage for a typical metropolitan area network would provide a signal radius of about 30 miles or 50 kilometers. A Wi-Max tower can connect directly to the Internet using a wired connection such as a T3 line, and also can connect directly, via line-of-sight, to another Wi-Max tower and thereby expand the geographic range covered. Potentially, Wi-Max services could be used to provide wireless connectivity to remote rural areas.

Answer to Question 2

TRUE
