Answers should include information about four of the following: norm-and criterion-referenced tests, survey or diagnostic tests, informal reading inventories, oral reading miscue analysis, running records, portfolios, and kid-watching.

Answer to Question 2

Answers should include information about students doing reading and writing tasks that look like real-life tasks, being in control of the tasks, and developing ownership. Examples include writing folders and portfolios.
