Answer to Question 1

C
A number of strategies exist to enhance professional growth for nurses. Educational opportunities such
as taking an EKG course or obtaining PALS or ACLS certification are some ways of contributing to
professional growth. Cross training is another effective way to enhance one's skills and abilities to
work in different situations and units. Forming a mentorship relationship with a more experienced
nurse can be a benefit for both the mentee and mentor. Increasing benefits offered to employees may
be a positive action, but does not necessarily contribute to one's growth professionally.

Answer to Question 2

C
A number of recommended tips and strategies for test-taking preparation have been noted. Three methods that pertain to the NCLEX-RN exam are: 1) practicing 60 questions a day from different NCLEX-RN review materials; 2) using the results of an exit exam as a guide in review area selection; 3) practicing using the ABCs-Safe-Comfort tips (not the ABCs only); and 4) practicing using the ARKO method.
