Answer to Question 1

C
A constitution is a set of basic laws that delineates the powers of different branches of a government and how these branches (or segments) relate to one another. Constitutions have the authority to: 1) make laws; 2) interpret laws; and 3) implement laws.

Answer to Question 2

D
Some reasons specific to nurses that contribute to sleep deprivation are working the night shift (may be
difficult to sleep for long periods of time during the day), rotating shifts (with the potential for three to
four weeks to adequately change sleeping patterns, rotating shifts does not usually provide enough
time to adjust to the new schedule), working 10-hour to 12-hour shifts repeatedly (this does not allow
for much time between shifts for sleeping), and ongoing thoughts about patients and activities at work
(not thoughts about family and social pressures because these are not specific to nurses).
