Answer to Question 1

2

Feedback
1 Integration of frameworks assists the nurse in creating evidence-based approaches.
2 Integrating conceptual and theoretical frameworks gives the nurse broader choices from which to create evidence-based approaches.
3 One middle-range theory may not be appropriate for specific families.
4 Seeing the uniqueness of the individual is not necessarily supported by use of any one conceptual or theoretical framework; the process of assessment is still needed.

Answer to Question 2

2
Rationale: Although telehealth should not create any greater concerns or risks to medical record privacy than any other form of consultation, records that cross state lines are subject to HIPAA regulations and state privacy laws. Security and confidentiality of telehealth services are crucial to acceptance by consumers and professionals (Hildebrand, Pharow, Engelbrecht, Blobel, Savastano, & Hovsto, 2006). For this reason experts have called for the creation of standards for e-health, particularly for security and identity management. Nurses need to be mindful of these issues when technicians, not bound by professional codes of ethics, are present at telehealth sessions.
