Answer to Question 1

2
Explanation: 1. This information may be in the supervisors job description, but this is not the appropriate time
to address the job description. The manager should obtain information, ask questions in a calm
manner, and offer instruction or solutions so the supervisor learns from the experience. The
situation regarding the urgency of the case is not applicable to the situation.

Answer to Question 2

3
Explanation: 1. The manager should investigate the matter and listen to the CNAs reasons for the registered
nurses complaint. It is inappropriate for the registered nurse or the human resources
department to issue a warning.
