Answer to Question 1

ANS: C
The STAT medications order is a priority because STAT means immediately. The other options do not take priority over a STAT order.

Answer to Question 2

ANS: A
The best action is to evenly distribute the patients so that no single nurse is overwhelmed and the charge nurse can continue to function in her role. The other actions would not provide for the best care to patients.
