Answer to Question 1

Correct Answer: 4

Resource management uses cost-effective approaches to high-quality care. Basic resources include financial, physical, and human resources; but others are organizational systems, information systems, and technical capabilities. Licensure of RNs is the responsible of the state board of nursing and does not pertain to resource management for nurses. Hiring of personnel is a human resources and administrative concern. Evidenced based practice pertains to the use of the best scientific evidence, integrated with clinical experience, and incorporating patient values and preferences in the practice of professional nursing care.

Answer to Question 2

Correct Answer: 1

Planned change is an intended, purposive attempt by an individual, group, organization, or larger social system to influence the status quo of itself, another organism, or a situation. Spontaneous change is not fully anticipated, it cannot be avoided, and there is little or no time to plan response strategies. Developmental change refers to physiopsychologic changes that occur during an individual's life cycle or to the growth of an organization as it becomes more complex. Pendulum change refers to the ideal that, I was wrong before, but now I'm right.
