Answer to Question 1

1
Explanation: 1. Taking action includes the changes a person makes when he or she feels susceptible in terms of illness or disease. Maintaining lifestyle changes would indicate the patient perceives the seriousness of the threat, and has taken steps to mitigate the danger or prevent it from occurring.
2. Perceived seriousness is the degree of seriousness with which the patient treats the issue. While the patient perceives the seriousness, the seriousness is not resolved until the action is taken.
3. Perceived benefits are achieved when the action is taken to prevent the cardiac disease, but won't occur until the action is taken.
4. Maintaining lifestyle changes is a modifying factor. Modifying factors include race, gender, and other sociopsychological variables.

Your skin wrinkles if you stay in the bathtub a long time because the outermost layer of skin (which consists of dead keratin) swells when it absorbs water. Dogs have been used in studies to detect various cancers in human subjects. They have been trained to sniff breath samples from humans that were collected by having them breathe into special tubes. These people included 55 lung cancer patients, 31 breast cancer patients, and 83 cancer-free patients. The dogs detected 54 of the 55 lung cancer patients as having cancer, detected 28 of the 31 breast cancer patients, and gave only three false-positive results (detecting cancer in people who didn't have it).
