Alcohol consumption and abuse have been identified with migrant farm workers. Drinking alcohol:
 
  1. Is a form of relaxation and is important for migrant worker well-being
  2. Adds additional risks to pesticide exposure
  3. Poses safety hazards for farm workers, such as accidents while driving and workplace injuries
  4. Allows migrant workers to sleep better thus improving daytime productivity
