Transferability, analogous to generalizability, is the extent to which qualitative findings can be transferred to or have applicability in other settings or groups. Authenticity refers to the extent to which researchers fairly represent the participant's actual or lived experience. Dependability in qualitative research is analogous to the term reliability in quantitative research.
