The stability aspect of reliability, which concerns the extent to which an instrument yields similar results on two administrations, is evaluated by testretest procedures. Sensitivity is the instrument's ability to identify a case correctly (i.e., its rate of yielding true positives). Equivalence, in reliability assessment, primarily concerns the degree to which two or more independent observers or coders agree about scoring on an instrument.
