Answer to Question 1

C
Feedback:
Experimental designs involve placing participants in groups at random. Through randomization (or random assignment), every participant has an equal chance of being included in any group. Randomization is a critical characteristic of a true experimental study. The other answers are not true of random assignment. Random sampling is a method of selecting people for a study and is not used to accomplish random assignment.
