The Theory of Stress and Coping is one of five non-nursing models or theories that have frequently been used in nursing studies, thus making it a shared theory. Grounded theory is a tradition of qualitative research. Concepts are the building blocks of theories. Theories can serve as the basis of a framework in a study although there is no specific indication above that it was used in a specific research study.
