Answer to Question 1

ANS: A
As a health advocate, the faith community nurse encourages individuals to implement healthy lifestyles and provides outreach services for less-mobile members, nonmembers, and vulnerable populations. As a referral agent, the faith community nurse provides referrals to health care and social services. As an educator, the faith community nurse provides opportunities for others to learn about health care issues. As an integrator of faith and health, the faith community nurse as-sists clients to connect to faith-based services.

Answer to Question 2

ANS: A
Confidentiality is of the utmost importance in faith community nursing practice. The faith com-munity nurse values client confidentiality, but at the same time delicately assists the client and client's family at the appropriate time to share concerns with pastoral staff or fellow congre-gants. Personal faith, health care needs, and fellowship are addressed as the nurse maintains cli-ent confidentiality.
