The nurse was employed by a public health agency. During orientation the supervisor informed the nurse that all nurses were legally covered because the agency had its own malpractice/negligence insurance.
 
  What, if anything, should the nurse do about liability insurance?
 
  A. Ask to see a copy of the policy and be sure it totals at least 1 million per occurrence.
  B. Continue to carry personal liability insurance for self-protection.
  C. Express gratitude, because malpractice insurance costs about 100 a year for an RN.
  D. Stop worrying about negligence and lawsuits and concentrate on doing the very best nursing possible.

The RN was very concerned about her elderly client who was paying an extra to fee have drugs delivered directly to her home. Consequently, the nurse offered to take the client to and from the pharmacy in the nurse's car.
