A change in these factors will also reduce health care expenditures and insurance costs for those persons with insurance. However, unnecessary deaths are even more important.

The widespread increase in incidence of overweight and obesity has led to calls for population-based measures to address this issue. The overarching problem of obesity has led to an increase in diabetes as well as cardiac disease. If this health issue was controlled, there should be in a decrease in the other health issues.
