Scatter plots are used to help identify the relationship between the frequency of the behavior and the
environment. Scatter plots do not identify a casual relationship. They are easy for teachers to use to collect
data and provide a quick reference point. Teachers indicate on a grid if the behaviors occurred at a high,
low, or zero level.
