Answer to Question 1

Compare: both temporal measures with clear beginning and ending
Contrast: Duration concerned with the amount of time the behavior occurs. Latency concerned with the amount of time it takes for the behavior to begin.
See Slide 4-23 for sample data sheet.

Answer to Question 2

Reasons why teachers might use anecdotal recording: Anecdotal reporting provides a description of the
student's behavior during a particular time period or setting. This type of reporting serves as a method for
initial analysis of a student's behavior, identifying possible stimuli that occasion or maintain a behavior. It
can be the first step in evaluating and establishing behavior change programs for persistent behaviors.
