How do individuals with a college education differ in terms of their political attitudes and opinions from those with less education? Why might a college education produce such differences?

2. Indicate that college graduates tend to be more liberal on social issues but more conservative on fiscal issues.
3. Indicate that college graduates tend to be more supportive of First Amendment rights.
4. Explain that college students are exposed to diversity and often have courses with liberal faculty. Explain that college graduates typically have higher incomes.

1. Define and explain crosscutting cleavages and intersectionality.
2. Identify common attitudes toward the abortion issue for each of the relevant group distinctions: gender, age, education, party identification, and religiosity.
3. Explain how the different identities can reinforce and contradict one another with regard to opinion on this issue.
