Which statement is true regarding the iron triangle?
 
  a. It is a coalition formed among interest groups, non-governmental organizations, and the capitol press corp.
  b. It operates because each element involved does not relate to anything else besides the other elements.
  c. It operates because each element in the coalition has something that it can give to each of the other elements.
  d. Each of the elements in the coalition requires the support of the other elements to fund its individual candidates for elections.
