The ideal answer should:
a. Define political power as the capacity to shape government policies through political action.
b. Discuss the various forms that political power can take including, but not limited to, inducing political actors to do things that they would not otherwise do; convincing political actors to do nothing at all; andusing either direct action, such as firing incompetent bureaucrats, or indirect action, such as withdrawing after setting a new course for public policy and leaving it on others to revise the political landscape.
c.Identify that the purpose of exercising political power is not about individual needs and desires but rather about shaping and controlling outcomes in politics.
