1, Explain that many voters are unsophisticated and lack political knowledge.
2, Evaluate how a ballot that voters cannot understand undermines the voting process by contributing to voter error.
3, Discuss how voter error undermines the democratic process because the true interests of the voter cannot be determined.

An ideal response will:
1, Explain that nonviolent acts may include acts of civil disobedience, the use of sit-down strikes, peaceful rallies, and peaceful demonstrations.
2, Provide three coherent and plausible reasons for why nonviolent actions increased the successes of the civil rights movement.
