2, Give examples of how campaigning requires constant travel and interviews. These detract time from governing.
3, Discuss how long campaigns may deter incumbents from tackling big problems because they are scared of the electoral consequences of their actions.

1,Explain that the First Lady is an unelected position.
2, Describe First Ladies who have had significant influences during their husbands' tenure in office, such as Abigail Adams and Edith Galt Wilson.
3, Describe how more recent First Ladies have selected an issue they advocate for, such as Michelle Obama's advocacy related to childhood obesity.
