Answer to Question 1

ANS: Mead studied the Tchambuli and found a complete reversal of the male-female temperaments often seen in US culture. Females were dominant, males were less responsible and emotionally dependent.

ANS: They are the social definitions of how each sex should behave, think, and interact.
