In which of these types of societies are tattooing and scarification most likely to be practiced?
 
  a. Foraging bands, like the Ju/'hoansi
  b. Industrialized, class societies
  c. Ranked societies with permanent status differences
  d. Horticultural tribes like the Yanomamo
