Answer to Question 2

Many classrooms use writing workshop as the structure within which writing can be taught. The components of writing workshop happen in the following order each day: a focus lesson in which the teacher teaches the students something about writing or writing workshop procedures; writing time during which the students write, confer with the teacher, and confer with each other; and group sharing time during which two or three students share their writing with the group and receive responses.
