As a consequence of the Industrial Revolution,
 
  a. Europe was elevated to military, political, and economic dominance in the world.
  b. the economies of countries throughout the world quickly caught up to Europes industrial economy.
  c. shipping became more specialized, focusing primarily on the transportation of luxury goods.
  d. Europe developed economic superiority to compensate for the military parity achieved by the rest of the world.
