Answer to Question 1

In Brazil, there is no dichotomy of race. Instead, it is complex because of historical background, inconsistently applied, and uses multiple terms and categories. Economic progress tends to lighten the racial category as well.

Answer to Question 2

It is an educational program developed by the American Anthropological Association to raise awareness of the complexity of race.
