3. Ziggurats are a characteristic example of monumental architecture and housed many religious and administrative functions.
4. Some people were common laborers and some were elites who possessed finer clothing and other goods.

1. Neanderthals were morphologically suited for cold weather with short limbs and wide bodies.
2. Cultural adaptations to withstand cold temperatures included cave dwellings and fire.
