Answer to Question 1

C
Feedback:
Activities such as having life-review discussions, recording oral histories, and compiling a scrapbook of life events not only help older adults feel a sense of worth about the lives they have lived but also provide a sense of history and legacy for younger generations. This is more likely to foster residents' self-concepts than exercise, education, or pet therapy.

Answer to Question 2

D
In patients with inoperable cancer, a nursing diagnosis of Fear related to diagnosis of cancer is appropriate. Assisting patients with recognizing and clarifying fears and with developing coping strategies for those fears by listening is helpful.
