Answer to Question 1

B
Feedback:
The use of a medical alarm would allow the client to signal for help remotely in the event of a subsequent fall. This would likely be preferable at this stage to relocating the client or utilizing day care. Home health care will not necessarily prevent future falls or allow the client to communicate in the event of a fall.

Answer to Question 2

C
Feedback:
Diabetes may act indirectly to bring about sudden changes in vision. Chronic glaucoma appears gradually, not suddenly. Dermatoses and furunculosis are associated with hearing loss, not vision loss.
