Asking how the resident is feeling is not specific for information regarding the pain experience. Responses B, C, and D are excellent questions to ask a resident who is experiencing pain.

Responses B, C, and D could be aspects of the overall safety assessment you perform, but they are too narrow to use as the only factors to consider.
