Answer to Question 1

A, B, C, D
Instruct the patient and family to increase rest and sleep periods as well as to incorporate foods into the diet that are high in iron, such as eggs, lean meat, green leafy vegetables, carrots, and raisins. These interventions are directed toward conserving energy and providing iron. Avoiding strenuous activity will decrease the chance of injury. Bleeding and bruising would indicate low platelet count.

Answer to Question 2

C
Morphine sulfate is often used for dyspnea and has the added benefit of slight sedation, which will help this patient's anxiety. Providing oxygen based on saturations does nothing for the pa-tient's distress; the patient may feel short of breath, even with an oxygen saturation of 100. A cool fan may help. There is no indication that the patient needs a bronchodilator. IF the patient has wheezing, this would be appropriate.
