It is dangerous to share any child's information online and should therefore be done so only when the situation calls and with caution. Not all Internet sites used by minors guard their personal information. COPPA, CIPA, and the Protecting Children in the 21st Century Act hold a teacher legally liable for protecting students' privacy.
