Falling drops of water greater than 0.5 mm in diameter are called rain. Drops of water with diameters less than 0.5 mm are called drizzle.

Answer to Question 2

At the same subfreezing temperature, the saturation vapor pressure above water surfaces is greater than the saturation vapor pressure above ice surfaces.
