Calculate the total annual recharge to the aquifer in m/yr by multiplying
  the area of the aquifer by the recharge rate. What will be an ideal response?



Question 2

Multiply by  days/year to fi nd the annual withdrawal from the
  aquifer in cubic meters per year. Round to the nearest , m/yr. What will be an ideal response?

Answer to Question 1

450,000,000,000 m2  0.009 m/yr = 4,050,000,000 m3/yr

Answer to Question 2

58,000,000 m3/d  365 days/yr = 21,170,000,000 m3/yr
